On the final day of that window the courts were shut, their gates taped, staff told to stay home. The petitioners say the Judiciary's own filing address bounced their documents back. They sent them to the Chief Justice's private email instead. He called the route highly irregular, referred them to the Constitutional Court anyway, and this morning administered the oath.
